The 1970’s And My Treads Shoes
The 1970’s were the best years of my life. Being a teenager then who loved surfing down the back beaches of the Mornington Peninsula, I spent many a day down there surfing, partying and dating. Of course every memory I have of this time I was always with my trusty pair of treads.
I loved my treads.
I had three pair to be honest. Of them my chocolate brown pair were my favourites. I also had a blue/grey pair and a grey and pink pair.
8 years ago I wanted to buy a pair of treads but could not find anyone making treads so I turned the spare room at home into an area to make them and I have been making treads shoes here in Melbourne ever since.
I get dozens of emails per month asking me to make them a pair, some even purchase a couple of pairs of treads to give to their children so they can experience the comfort and pleasure of wearing them.
